DISCOVERY

UNDERSTANDING THE SNACKING LANDSCAPE

I began my research with competitive research in order to gain understanding for current taxonomy out there for successful brands, understand some potential features, and get more familiar with the prepackaged snack industry. You can view my full analysis here.

THE MIND OF A GROCERY SHOPPER

My starting point for understanding my user was through contextual inquiry. You can view my full script below. Due to limited funding, I was able to obtain some user insight by doing research at Wheatsville Co-op. Following these interviews, I was able to pick out some key themes through affinity mapping, contributing to my taxonomy. It quickly became clear that the importance of ingredients and the experience of eating this item stood out.

APPROACH

  • Content First Approach

KEY INSIGHTS:

Desktop version was unanimous favorite.
Landing page was text heavy but still confusing.
